The updated Optometry SOB is in effect September 1, 2023:

When validating V407, you will get either Response Code 101 or 201 indicating whether the patient has had an exam in the last 12 months.

Validating V406 for a patient who had an exam in the last 18 months will return Response Code 201 reflecting the new rule (used to be 12-months).
